DANIEL BARRENECHEA, design Principal
Daniel has over 18 years of experience designing a broad diversity of high-profile architecture and interior design projects: from institutional, hospitality, civic, performance, and visual arts to commercial and residential. He leads a multi-disciplinary approach to design that brings together craftsmanship, technology, and design specialties, as well as innovative use of finishes, materials, and fixtures.
A native of Peru, Daniel’s design experience ranges from international, with Mirai Kenchiku in Osaka, Japan, and Amano Design, a design studio collaborative in Lima, Peru. He has honed his design skills as a senior designer with prestigious design studios: Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates, Rockwell group, and Holzman Moss Bottino Architects.
As Design Principal for ZAD, he is the creative force behind the design direction for all architecture and interior design projects for the firm. He brings a fresh and inquisitive approach that allows for bespoke solutions and unique creations.
Award-winning projects include restaurants 8 1/2 Brasserie and The New Victory Theater in NYC, Samba Grill in Las Vegas, Equinox in Singapore, and Cafe Milan in London. In addition, NYC hotels such as the W New York and W Union Square, the Chambers Hotel, and the Epic Hotel Resort in Deep Ellum, Texas, in collaboration with Todd Oldham Studio.
